Overview

PhoneVet ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free iOS application designed to help users test hardware features of a used iPhone before purchasing. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

PhoneVet collects no personal data. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
• We do not create user accounts or require registration.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting services, or third-party tracking SDKs.
• We do not transmit any data to external servers. All test results remain entirely on your device.

Device Permissions

PhoneVet requests the following iOS permissions solely to perform local hardware tests:

• Camera — used to display a live camera preview and to control the rear LED torch. No photos or video are captured or stored.
• Microphone — used to record a short audio clip for playback testing. The recording is stored temporarily in device memory and is deleted when you leave the screen or reset the test. It is never transmitted anywhere.

All other sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, battery) are read-only and require no special permissions on iOS.

Data Storage

Test results (pass / fail / warn) are stored only in the app's in-memory state and are cleared when you reset tests or close the app. No data is written to persistent storage, iCloud, or any external service.

Third-Party Services

PhoneVet does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. There are no third parties that receive your data through this app.

Children's Privacy

PhoneVet does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app contains no content directed at children and does not require any personal information to function.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
